    ‘Hoodwinked’ – a reminder to parents of Year 3 & Year 4 children that the performances take place on Tuesday 28th April at 6.30pm or Wednesday 29th April at 1.30pm. Please note that it is a ticket only event. Seating is restricted in accordance with Fire Safety Regulations and there will be no standing room. Tuesday’s performance is full however there are some spare tickets for Wednesday afternoon. The children will need to be at school for Tuesday’s performance, between 5.30pm-5.45pm for preparations – costumes, make-up, hair etc. The soloist singers should be in by 5.30pm for singing warm up. Year 3 children should go to the Year 6, Willow Classroom and the Year 4’s to their own classroom. Doors open on Tuesday evening at 6.20pm.


    There has been no charge issued against the tickets however there will be a collection at the end of each performance. The money collected will be donated to Diabetics UK.


    Recording – please note that no recordings of the production, by either mobile phone or videoing equipment, are allowed. Photographs for your own use may be taken at the end of the performance.

     

    New Arrival – we are delighted to announce the safe arrival of Amanda Donnai’s baby. Baby Osian Donnai arrived on Saturday 18th April weighing 9lb3oz!! Mother and baby are doing well.

    Sports day dates – Key Stage 2 – Wednesday 24th June – a.m. Times to be confirmed.


    Key Stage 1 – Wednesday 24th June – p.m. Times tbc.

    Labelling – children lose several pieces of uniform every day, however if it is clearly labelled, the items usually find their way back to the classroom. Please could you check if all your child’s uniform, including coats, packed lunch boxes, shoes and school bags are labelled. A laundry marker is available from the school office if required.

     

    Term dates – please find attached with this Newsletter, the term dates for September 2015 – July 2016 with the additional INSET days added. Copies of these can be obtained from the Foyer.

    Aspen Pre-orders – please ensure you have pre-ordered any Aspen Dinners your child may require and cancel any that your child will not be taking eg when off school due to illness or on a school trip.

    Whole School Photograph – this will be taking place next week, on Wednesday 22nd April during the first part of the morning. Please ensure your child wears their winter uniform ie not summer dresses and has their school sweatshirt or cardigan on that day. Order forms will be sent out as soon as possible via the children’s classes for the parents to purchase copies of the photograph.


    ‘Hoodwinked’ – a reminder to parents of Year 3 & Year 4 children to request their tickets for the performances on Tuesday 28th April at 6.30pm or Wednesday 29th April at 1.30pm. Information available from the school office.


    Judo – the Iinkai Judo club will restart on Thursday 23rd April at 8am. If you would like any information about the club please email Dave Edmonds at info@iinkai-judo.co.uk


    Multi-Activity mornings – Mrs Bodeker will be continuing with her morning training on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8am – 8.30am. However the sessions will now include a variety of athletics, skills & distance work using the school field. These sessions are open to all classes. The children should arrive by 8am and be signed in by their parents. Mrs Bodeker will supervise the children changing into their uniforms after training and ensure they go to their classes. If Mrs Bodeker is unexpectedly absent, a notice will be put up in the Foyer to alert parents.


    The Craft Club – the attendance is low at the moment but Suzanne Craft will be holding the session this week but may not continue if the attendance doesn’t increase.


    Uniform – As from the summer term (apart from next Wednesday!) until the October half term, girls may wear summer dresses, with white socks and navy or black closed toe sandals. Any hairbands worn should be plain and blue. Boys are welcome to wear grey shorts with either grey or black socks. During this term children are requested to bring in named sun hats, sun screen and water bottles. Any prescription medication for Hay Fever should be given to the appropriate staff members once a medicine form has been completed. These are available from the office. Please note, school is not able to give medication unless it has been prescribed by a Doctor.
