Parent Interviews – Lists to make appointments for Parents Evening next week have been put up in the school hall.
The written reports which went out at the beginning of this week are quite comprehensive, so please only sign up for a Parent interview if you wish to discuss any issues from the report.
Year 6 reports will be delayed to await SATs results and their Parents Evening will also be delayed.
Sports Days – A reminder that this year we are holding two separate sports days as follows:
KS1 classes (Oak, Hornbeam, Beech) – Wednesday 4th July on our school field starting at 9.15am
(a separate letter has been sent out to parents).
KS2 classes (Ash, Rowan, Maple and Willow) – Thursday 5th July on Langtree school field starting at
9.15am and hopefully ending by 11.30am.
Please could all children have their PE kit and appropriate running shoes and tops with their team colour:
Red Kites – Red, Hawks – Green, Owls – Blue, Kestrels – Yellow, Eagles- Orange.
Children will also need a bottle of water together with suncream and sunhat if we have hot weather. Please can we also ask that parents do not encroach on the finish line as this makes it difficult for staff to sort and organise runners as they finish their races – Thank you.
Photographs – All orders for class photo’s or Year 6 packs to be in to the school office by next Monday
2nd July please so that the orders can be sent in and photos received back by the end of term.
Superschools Sponsor Money – If you have not yet sent in your child’s sponsor money, please send this in by the end of next week.
Raffle Tickets/money – Please could all raffle tickets and money be sent in by Monday next week. If you have been unable to or do not wish to sell the tickets which have been sent to you please send them back in so that they can be sold at the Summer Fayre.
Revised Term Dates – On the back of this newsletter is a revised term dates list as the extra Inset Days have now been agreed. ( please see Term Dates category)
Reports – End of term written reports will be going out to parents next Monday 25th June.

Staffing – I am very pleased to inform you that we have appointed Miss Amanda Preston as our Year 1 teacher for September which will cover Miss Allen’s one year sabbatical. Miss Burrell will follow her class to Year 2 so our staffing will be as follows:

Tesco Vouchers – The deadline for sending in Tesco vouchers is coming up shortly so please can you send in any Tesco vouchers that you have by next Friday 29th June so that we can send in our order.
Jubilee Street Party – I hope your children all enjoyed our Jubilee Street Party before half term.
The visitors and staff certainly did. Thanks must go to the committee of staff who organised the event and ran it so successfully on the day and also to the members of the School Council who showed our visitors around the school. We are very grateful to all parents who contributed food for the event as we could not have done it without your support. If you have not yet collected the box or tin in which you sent your food, please ask in the school office.
Year 6 Residential Trip – Next week our Year 6 class will be going to Brecon in Wales for their week long residential trip. The children will enjoy a whole range of outdoor adventure activities and experience a very different environment away from school. We hope the weather is kind to them.
Oak class assembly – Tuesday 19th June at 9.15am. Parents are invited to join us for this assembly.
Ash class assembly – Wednesday 20th June at 9.05am. All parents invited.
Holidays in term time – A reminder that if you wish to take your child/children out of school for a family holiday, then a request must be made to me for approval. Please send in a letter stating the dates of your proposed holiday so that this may be considered
Tesco Vouchers – The deadline for sending in Tesco vouchers is coming up shortly so please can you send in any Tesco vouchers that you have by Friday 29th June so that we can send in our order.
OWLS Coffee Shop – This Saturday 16th June OWLS (Woodcote Library) will be running the coffee shop in the Community Centre. Please pop along to eat cake and visit the library to make a Fathers Day card. Any cake donations would be much appreciated.
