We managed to make it down to Young Voices with Maple and Willow classes after a four month delay (and the whole year before it) due to Covid. After a quick jaunt down to the O2 Arena in London, we took part in practices, learned some dances, laughed at some of our teachers attempts at dancing and then performed an incredible concert for an audience full of parents! Check out some of the photos (and videos) below:
Ahead of our Young Voices performance this year we were lucky enough to get a visit from the founder of Urban Strides, Andy Instone. He told all about parts of his life and ways we can try and live a positive life, but the part we loved the most was the dance workshop. Check out some of our moves:
On Friday February 2nd, 51 children from Year 5 and 6 travelled to the O2 Arena in London to be part of the Young Voices choir. This year there were 7705 children singing together.
We left school early to travel to London. After lunch we had a rehearsal with all the other schools, the artists that were singing and dancing with us, the conductor and the band.
At 5.00 we took a break before taking our seats at 6.00 and watching the parents arrive.
The concert began at 7.00....................
