Curriculum
At Woodcote Primary School our curriculum is designed to evolve and reflect the children’s interests and prior learning. We therefore provide an engaging Curriculum that maximises opportunities for cross–curricular links and learning. By following the children’s interest and lead in both child-initiated exploration play and direct teaching we foster a lifelong love of learning both inside and outside school.
Each half term, EYFS staff introduce a new theme. This theme is introduced to the children and they are actively encouraged to share their prior knowledge, ignite curiosity through offering questions and help to develop the environment by creating ideas for the role-play area and voting as a class for this. We reflect the ideas of the children and aim to deepen their knowledge and understanding.
