Transition from Pre-School to Primary School – September 2014-15
On behalf of all the team in Oak Class at Woodcote Primary, welcome to a new and exciting stage in your child’s life. Next year your child will make new friends, enjoy new experiences and learn vital new skills such as reading and writing.
As a teacher I hope we will be able to work together in partnership, to ensure that your child has the best first year possible.In order to help your child’s transition from Pre-School to Primary School your child will have the opportunity to visit their new class.
We would like to invite ____xxxxxxxx___ to meet their new class on Wednesday 2nd July 9:00 – 10:00am.
Could you please phone the school to confirm your child’s attendance.
A few dates to add to the diary:
Wednesday 4th June 2:30 – 3pm. Induction Meeting with Class Teacher to talk through the Foundation Stage curriculum.
Tuesday 17th June Individual Parent Meeting with class teacher. This will provide you with an opportunity to talk to your class teacher about your child. Parents will be required to book an appointment with their child’s Class Teacher each appointment will last 10 minutes, which will be on a first come first served basis. Appointments can be made via the school office during school hours. The first appointment will be at 9am and the last appointment will be at 3pm.
Wednesday 16th July 9-10am Informal getting to know each other coffee morning in the school hall.
