2023/24

Year 6 Spellings.

In Year 6 the pupils are given 15 spellings, generated by themselves in class sessions, and an additional 5 spellings, from the Year 5/6 Spelling List in the National Curriculum, each week.  Pupils are expected to: write each spelling out, write them into sentences and then investigate if there are any rules to support understanding.  For example: When a word that ends in 'f' becomes a plural, you drop the 'f' and add 'ves'.
