Stonehenge Trip - 26th June 2014

Dear Ash Class Parents and Carers,

As part of our humanities topic ‘Early Britons’, Ash Class will be visiting Stonehenge in Wiltshire on Monday, 7th July. We will be travelling by minibus. Children will need to be in school at the normal time; however we will not arrive back at school until 4.30pm.

Children will need to bring:
• a packed lunch
• plenty of drink in re-sealable bottles
• sensible footwear for walking around the site
• a raincoat (weather dependent)
• a sun hat
• sun cream (preferably applied before school depending on the weather)
• optional money for the gift shop (maximum £5 in a named envelope)

Entrance to Stonehenge and the exhibition centre is free. We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £2.90 to cover the cost of the minibuses. If you choose to pay by cheque, please make it payable to Oxfordshire County Council.

Please complete the permission slip below and return it to school by Wednesday, 2nd July. Also, if your child attends After School Club on a Monday, please let them know that we will not be back until 4.30pm.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Allen
