Welcome – This week we were pleased to welcome Mr. Rod Horsley as Teaching Assistant in Oak class.

Children’s Book Fair – We are delighted to say that last week the school sold books to the value of £535.94 at the Book Fair and at this particular book fair run by Travelling Books, we were able to receive a special deal that enables us to keep this whole amount as commission. We would like to thank everyone who came and purchased books as we can now obtain a good selection of extra books for the school.

Potatoes – As part of Art Week, could we please ask that each child brings in an uncooked potato which they can decorate as part of the art activities.  The potato needs to be clean and of medium size and needs to be brought in by Wednesday morning at the latest.

World Book Day – Book Quiz – Don’t forget to book a table for the Book Quiz which we are holding as part of our celebration of World Book Day on Thursday 6th March at 6.45pm.  Tickets are available from the school office at a cost of £2 each.  Please send in your payment in an envelope marked with your name and number of tickets required.

Barnardo’s Egg-citing Challenge – A reminder that if you would like your child to take part in this, the envelope with the sponsor money needs to be brought into school at the beginning of next week.  The names of all children who take part will be entered into a draw with the prize of a Barnardo’s bear.

If you have not yet signed up for your child to attend but would like to do so, please return the permission slip on Monday morning.  The cost of these sessions will be £20 per child (5 weeks at £4 per session) with cheques payable to Oxfordshire County Council.

Sainsbury’s Active Kids – We are again collecting these vouchers and would be very grateful if you could send them in so that we can claim free resources for the school.
