Year 4 Athletics – Last Friday Rowan class took part in an indoor athletics event at Gillotts School in Henley.

Children competed against other local schools in a range of running, field and relay events. Every child competed with a lot of enthusiasm and a smile on their face which was pleasing to see. Well done to the whole of Rowan class.

School Dinner Menu – There have been minor amendments to the description of some of the daily choices on the new menu which we sent out last week. If you wish to find out what these changes are please ask in the school office.

School Uniform – We have noted that some children are wearing their fleece in class instead of a sweatshirt. Fleeces are intended for outdoor use only and should not therefore be worn in class. If you need to order a sweatshirt or any item of school uniform please ask in the school office for an order form. Another point to note is that if you wish your children to wear sandals during the summer term, the sandals should be black or navy and that socks must be worn with them.

Judo Lessons – These will start again on Thursday 19th April on Thursday mornings from 8am to 8.45am. The term consists of 10 lessons and the cost for new students is £54. There are leaflets available in the school hall if you would like more information.

Chiltern Edge Holiday Club – is open again this Easter with prices starting at £25 per day from 8.30am – 3.30pm. There are 6 days to choose from; 3rd – 5th April and 10th – 12th April 2012. Activities include Forest Fun, Arts & Crafts, Multisports, Judo, Creative Cookery, Archery (aged 9yrs +),

Street Dance and Musical Theatre and for the first time we have a Golf Trip (aged 6yrs +), Party Games and Kwik Cricket also available.

Bookings are being taken on a first come first served basis, and there are still spaces available in many activities. Bookings close on Thursday 29th March, and your child will not be able to attend without a booking. To check availability, contact Brenda McNulty on 07921 257657, then use the booking form on www.chilternedge.oxon.sch.uk to reserve your space.

The Holiday Club @ Chiltern Edge is fully inclusive, accepts childcare vouchers, and is Ofsted registered for those who wish to take advantage of Working Families Tax Credits.

Holiday Club – Don’t forget to book your place for the Easter Holiday Club at Cabin for 2½ – 7 year olds. It will be jointly run by Woodcote Pre-School and Cabin Pre-School. Call 01491 682300 or 01491 680854
to book a place or find out more information.

End of Term – I hope you all have a good Easter holiday and we look forward to seeing you all back in school on Tuesday 17th April (the school has an Inset Day on Monday 16th).

Finishing second in their group, they then went on to play a quarter-final game, unfortunately losing that by 2 goals. It was a great all round performance.
