Sadly – Mr Dixon will be leaving us at the end of this year.  Mr Dixon, who has taught at the school for two years, is leaving to take up a teaching post in Northamptonshire.  I know Mr Dixon will be greatly missed by colleagues, parents and pupils, and we wish him all the very best for his teaching career.  I would like to thank Mr Dixon for all his hard work over the last two years.

After half term, parents will be informed of teacher and class arrangements for September.

Cricket – On Tuesday, Mrs Lecorgne took a group of Year 6 pupils to a cricket tournament at Whitchurch Primary School where the children competed against children from the local primaries in the partnership.  All the children tried their best and showed good sportsmanship.  It was also noted that the children greatly improved their cricket skills over the few hours they were there.  Well done to Josh Palmer, Thomas Butler-James, Sebastian
Bosher-Williams, Dawson Powell, Max Temple, Alex Ostridge, Holly Salter and Bryony Furlonger.  There were notably good performances from Sebastian, Thomas and Bryony who scored 2 sixes!  A big thank you to
Mrs Lecorgne for taking the children to the event.

Year 6 Residential Trip – After half term, Year 6 pupils will be away on their residential trip to Brecon in Mid-Wales for a week.  We wish them all the very best for what will be a tiring, challenging and very enjoyable week.  Let’s hope the weather is kind to them.

School Dinners – Aspens Catering Service are hoping that the problem in the Langtree kitchens will be resolved during half term but this cannot be guaranteed.  Therefore, on the first day back after half term, we must ask that your child/children brings a packed lunch or orders the Aspens packed lunch as we have been doing recently.  We will let you know as soon as we can when hot dinners are available.

Student Update Form – Please complete and return your Student Update Form to the school office as soon as possible after half term so that we can update your child’s details on our school system if necessary.

Half Term – A reminder that the school will be closed for half term holiday from Monday 27th to Friday 31st May.  School starts again on Monday 3rd June.

Sports Camp – The Elms will be holding another Multi-Sports Camp at our school during half term.  Leaflets giving all the details are available in the school entrance hall or you could visit their website www.elmsholidayschemes.co.uk
