Big Bang Science Fair – Last week a group of children from Year 5 and Year 6 attended the Science Fair held at the Excel Arena in East London.  The children enjoyed:

  1. The journey through London seeing the sights including various bridges along the Victoria Embankment and the Tower of London.
  2. The huge exhibition hall of Science and Engineering stands.

Our children talked to staff from various companies and universities:

     –  staff from the Bloodhound SSC team involved in the World Land Speed Record attempt.

     –  University of Leicester fossil finding

     – Two shows, one of amazing ‘visual’ experiments involving light and another about deep space, from
        the University of Plymouth.

It was extremely busy but well worthwhile.

Security Marking of Bicycles – Next Tuesday, starting at 2.45pm, the local Community Police Officer will be on the school site to security mark bicycles, scooters and mobile phones with your postcode.  If you would like anything marked in this way please bring them into school on that day.
