Newsletter 16.5.13

SATs – Well done to all our Year 6 pupils who this week completed their SATs.  The children have worked very hard in preparation for these and they coped very well with the pressure of the week.  Parents will be informed of the results on their children’s written, end of year reports.

School Dinners – Due to a problem with faulty ovens, Aspens Catering Service are unable to offer hot dinners until the problem is resolved.  Until further notice they will only be offering the Aspens Packed Lunch or Pasta in Tomato Sauce.

Aspens apologise for the inconvenience and hope to provide a full service again by the start of the new term in June.

Student Update Form – With this newsletter you should receive in an envelope, a Student Update Form for your child/children (except those children in Year 6) which shows exactly what information we hold about your child on our computer system.  Our system has recently been changed and we would like to ensure that we hold the correct information about each child and their family contacts.

Please check this very carefully and amend anything that is incorrect.  Could you then please return the form to the school office, showing these amendments, so that we can update our system.

Quiz Night – The Woodcote Pre-School will be holding a Quiz Night at the Red Lion on Wednesday
22nd May, 8.00pm for 8.30pm start.  Teams of up to 5 people, £1.50 per person, nibbles provided.

Please contact the Red Lion on 01491 680483 to book your table.

Half Term – A reminder that the half term holiday is Monday 27th to Friday 31st May.  School starts again on Monday 3rd June.

Sports Camp – The Elms will be holding another Multi-Sports Camp at our school during half term.  Leaflets giving all the details are available in the school entrance hall or you could visit their website www.elmsholidayschemes.co.uk
