Newsletter 10.1.13

Welcome – I would like to welcome everyone back to school for the Spring Term and wish you a Happy New Year.  We are very pleased to welcome to our school this week Cameron Mackinnon in Maple class, Courtney Mackinnon in Ash class and Elizabeth Stead in Hornbeam class.  Welcome also to Mr. Binham, who is completing a four week teaching practice in Year 5.

Headteacher’s Newsletter – This will be sent out next week and will include details of what will be happening in school this term.

Snow Queen DVD – Copies of this DVD are available to order at a cost of £5.  Please complete the slip at the end of this newsletter and send it in to the school office with your payment either cash or cheque (payable to Woodcote Primary School) in a sealed envelope marked Snow Queen.

School dinners – The new menu for next term is now available online at ‘Kitchen Live’.  If you are unable to view this online please ask in the office for a copy.  The cost of dinners remains at £2 each and should be paid by cash or cheque (payable to Oxfordshire County Council) if you are not set up as a direct debit customer.  All payments made this way should be put into a sealed envelope (an old one will do) marked with your child/children’s name/names and showing the days when dinners are required.  These payment envelopes can then be given in to your child’s teacher or handed into the school office but please do not send loose cash in

Free School Dinners – If you think you may be entitled to free meals for your children please ask in the school office for a form.  We can then check your entitlement.  Even if your child only has dinners very occasionally this could be helpful to you and the school can also benefit from this.  We can assure you that this information will be kept confidential and will be known to office staff only.

Packed Lunches – Can I please remind everyone that the school has a ‘No nuts’ policy so everything in your child’s lunchbox or their snack in the morning must be nut free.  This is because we have children in the school who have nut allergies.

Football – Please note that there will be no after school football with Mr. Dixon on Wednesday 23rd January as Mr. Dixon will not be in school that day.
