Newsletter 1 December 2011

Team Point Trophy – Well done to Owls last week who achieved the most team points for the week.

Key Stage One Production – This is being held next Tuesday 6th December at 2pm for children in Years One, Two and Foundation.  Everyone is welcome, although if you have small pre-school children, can we please ask that you come to the dress rehearsal which is being held on Monday 5th December at 2pm.

Medieval Banquet – You will all have received invitations to the Medieval Banquet at the school on Thursday
15th December which is being held this year instead of the usual class parties.  The children will be eating in team point groups and lists are up in the school hall for you to sign up to say which food/drink you will be able to provide.  Children will not need packed lunches or school dinners that day.  We would also like all the children to come in medieval style clothes, this could simply be a tunic (old t-shirt) and trousers tucked into long socks for boys and longer skirts or dresses for the girls.

Also on Friday 16th December (last day of term) we would like to share with you all of our photos from our ‘Castles’ topic.

School Christmas Dinner – Thursday 8th December. If you have not yet ordered a Christmas meal for your child please let the office know Monday 5th December by 9am, as numbers have to be given in advance to ‘Food For Thought’, the catering company.

Thank you – A big thank you to Goring Good Old Boys football club, a local football team who have donated £100 to the school.  The money will go towards the new lighting system needed for school productions.

End of Term –

This school term will end on Friday 16th December at the earlier time of 1pm. There will be no After School Club on this day. There is an Inset day on Tuesday 3rd January and School will re-open to children for the new term on Wednesday 4th January.
