Building Developments

We have had erected a new storage shed at the front of the school to store basic equipment, currently stored in the metal container in the playground. The metal storage container is being removed to make way for a new single chalet building, in the same style as the current chalet buildings. This additional building will provide much needed working space for staff to work with groups of pupils to support their curriculum work. We are hoping that the new chalet will be built during this Summer term.

SEAL (Social Emotional Aspects of Learning)

Golden Rules

Children are very aware of our Golden rules and often refer to them. I am pleased that after focussing on rule 3, increasingly now, I have children coming to my office to show me excellent pieces of work, or work they have greatly improved in. What is very pleasing too is that these children are proud of themselves and their achievements.

This year we are continuing to reinforce rule number 5.

Please reinforce these at home:

  1. We listen to and look at the person talking to us.
  2. We walk quietly and calmly into assembly, the dining hall and around school.
  3. We take pride in our work.
  4. We follow requests and instructions, calmly and promptly.
  5. We take responsibility for our actions and belongings.
  6. We speak politely to everyone, and show good manners.

If you ever have any concerns please speak to the class teacher or myself, as often issues can be resolved quickly and easily with informal discussion.

Thank you for your continued support for the school.
