Newsletter 15 June 2012

Jubilee Street Party – I hope your children all enjoyed our Jubilee Street Party before half term.

The visitors and staff certainly did.  Thanks must go to the committee of staff who organised the event and ran it so successfully on the day and also to the members of the School Council who showed our visitors around the school.  We are very grateful to all parents who contributed food for the event as we could not have done it without your support.  If you have not yet collected the box or tin in which you sent your food, please ask in the school office.

Year 6 Residential Trip – Next week our Year 6 class will be going to Brecon in Wales for their week long residential trip.  The children will enjoy a whole range of outdoor adventure activities and experience a very different environment away from school.  We hope the weather is kind to them.

Oak class assembly – Tuesday 19th June at 9.15am.  Parents are invited to join us for this assembly.

Ash class assembly – Wednesday 20th June at 9.05am.  All parents invited.

Holidays in term time – A reminder that if you wish to take your child/children out of school for a family holiday, then a request must be made to me for approval.  Please send in a letter stating the dates of your proposed holiday so that this may be considered

Tesco Vouchers – The deadline for sending in Tesco vouchers is coming up shortly so please can you send in any Tesco vouchers that you have by Friday 29th June so that we can send in our order.

OWLS Coffee Shop – This Saturday 16th June OWLS (Woodcote Library) will be running the coffee shop in the Community Centre.  Please pop along to eat cake and visit the library to make a Fathers Day card.  Any cake donations would be much appreciated.
