Office Administrator


We are creating a new role within our office team to include an assistant to the School Business Manager.  

The role would require the successful candidate to undertake clerical procedures related to finance and ordering including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders and new supplier forms.  They would be required to assist with health and safety checks and procedures, organise the lunchtime supervision rotas and possibly also assisting with the children at lunchtimes. 

They would also be required, amongst other things, to administer the financial arrangements for curriculum trips and visiting workshops etc. and coordinate financial paperwork in liaison with teachers and the school secretary.  

Experience of office procedures, financial understanding and good interpersonal skills are essential, as is a general ability to use Office packages such as Excel, Word and Office 365. Previous experience in a school office would be desirable.   A flexible nature and a willingness to work as part of a busy team, undertaking training and adhering to school policies, along with a good sense of humour, is an important quality for the successful candidate.

This will be a Fixed Term Contract for 9 hours a week, part-time and term-time only.  

Paid at a Grade 6, £9.78 / hr (term time only)

We currently have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor, 5 days a week, 1.5 hours per day to include 12.00 - 1.00.  We would like all applications to reach the school office by 9.00 am Monday 19th February.
