We currently have a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor, 5 days a week, 1.5 hours per day to include 12.00 - 1.00.
We are looking for two new members to join our Governing Body as Co-opted Governors. Co-opted Governors are typically from the local community.
Although governors are volunteers, excellent support and development opportunities are provided through an induction process and full programme of training both face-to-face and online to suit individual needs.
We don’t expect you to be an expert in education and welcome governors from all walks of life to bring different perspectives and views. You just need to be committed to supporting our school community and the educational outcomes of our students. Co-opted Governors are appointed on the basis of the skills they can offer, and we are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with an interest, skills, experience or understanding in any of the following areas:
· Legal policy and processes
· Building maintenance
· Media / Marketing / Communications
However, the need for other skills to complement and enhance those of the existing Governing Body emerge from time to time, and expressions of interest are more generally invited as we will hold details on file in the event that further vacancies arise.
Currently we do not have any Parent Governor vacancies available but we would be happy to hold your details on file.
What we would expect from you:
Being a governor is an unpaid position, but it is an incredibly worthwhile role and is valued and appreciated by everyone involved with the school.
Governors will need to be available to:
· attend 6 full governing body meetings over the year;
· be a member of a committee which meets up to 6 times a year;
· visit the school to understand the day to day running of the school
Please complete the 'Expressions of Interest' form below and return it to the school office, either in hard copy or via email to email@example.com Please submit your forms by 15 December 2017.
