In Personal Social and Emotional development the children are going to learn how to become a knight or a lady. This will involve the children learning to be thoughtful and polite. All children will be knighted or titled on the 6th February.
In Understanding the World the children will be looking at the features of a castle and identifying the differences between their home and a castle.
In Communication Language and Literacy the children are going to learn how to blend sounds that they have learnt. Children will read banded books in class on a regular basis.
The children are going to be taught how to form letters correctly and will be encouraged to start writing stories. The first fairy tale we will be looking at is Cinderella.
In Maths we will be counting up to 20 objects, learning about addition and subtraction and
identifying different 2D shaped objects.
In Expressive Arts the children will be making all of the props for our class castle including, swords, armour and shields.
