Fishbourne Visit - 26th Sept 2014

Year 4 enjoyed a day visit to Fishbourne Roman Palace near Chichester this week.  They were treated to a workshop of activities linked to their topic, dressing as Roman/Celt royalty and slaves.  They wrote on wax tablets, far better than on paper (they are smaller!), cooked in the palace kitchen, and built a Roman arch.  The mosaics and film show vividly illustrated the skills of the Romans, and how they lived compared to the Celts.  All, including adults, enjoyed the day.
