Class Assemblies – There will be four class assemblies this term (all starting at 9:05):
Beginning and End of the School Day – From the start of this week you may have been aware that we have been opening the gates at 8:40 in morning. There will be supervision on the playground from this time. At the end of the day, the side gate will open at 3:10pm. These times will also be applicable to the new Cabin side gate.
Bright Sparks Science Club – This has now started on a Wednesday afternoon in Spruce Chalet from 3.20pm – 4.20pm. There are still spaces available for the Science Club. Please contact Mrs Mason in the office for details.
Tag Rugby Tournament – On Wednesday Mrs Bodeker took a group of Year 5 & 6 children to a tag rugby competition at the Wallingford Rugby Club. Eight schools took part, all thankful for good weather conditions! The team played valiantly, despite not having played together before. They fought against some strong competition but didn’t win any matches, however the scores were very close in many matches and the team should be very proud of their performance.
Sainsburys Active Kids Vouchers – we are still collecting these vouchers which will be available from Sainsbury’s until 20th May. The last date for school orders is in July so please bring in your vouchers by the end of June so that we can count them and place an order for free resources in good time.
Term Dates – all the INSET days have now been finalised. Please find the updated term dates with this Newsletter.
May Day Holiday – A reminder that school will be closed on Monday 5th May for the Bank Holiday.
FOWPS Newsletter w/e Friday 2nd May 2014
Ladies Pub Walk – On Friday 9th May. We will need to know final numbers SOON. If you have not yet filled in and returned your form please can you do so asap or email FOWPS@woodcote-primary.co.uk.
Summer Fund Raising – Due to the number of FOWPS members who will not be available during the first weekend of July, we have had to move the date of our Summer Fair to Saturday June 28th. We are planning a fun filled event with a World Cup theme and some flavours of Brazil. If you are willing and able to help out on the day or with planning or organisation beforehand please contact FOWPS.
Coffee Shop – There will be a coffee shop in aid of FOWPS on Saturday 10th May. If you are able to either help on the day or provide a cake (or both) please email Louise Gordon at firstname.lastname@example.org or sign up on the list which will be up just inside the playground from Friday onwards.
