The children have thoroughly enjoyed being back at school and exploring their new areas. Despite the rain, we even managed to do some independent learning outside. Inside we have spent some time getting to know the children, various circle times have helped us to learn; what the children did (and didn't do) over the summer, what our favourite foods are, as well as what we want to be when we grow up. This has produced some excellent writing too. We have also created a class charter of all the things a member of Hornbeam class should be; kind, respectful, polite, helpful and supportive as well as part of the team!
