Y4 - Rowan

Mrs S Peacock and Mrs C Phillips, supported by Mrs S Peates

Welcome to the page for Rowan Class. Please check out the Blog or our Photo Gallery to find out what has been going on in our class!

The teaching is split across the week, Mrs Peacock from Monday to Wednesday, and Ms Phillips on Thursday and Friday.  We are well supported by Mrs Peates.

Homework

There are weekly spellings, given out on a Monday ready for a test on Friday mornings.  There may also be an additional task with these, such as handwriting practice, using a dictionary to establish meanings of words and including them in sentences.  Children will be expected to read frequently during the week, recording their reading in the yellow reading diary.  Parents should support their child with this, using the additional questions in the diary.  Children are expected to practice times tables regularly, in preparation for the Government test in June.  There may also be topic related pieces which will have a longer time frame for children to complete.

P.E

Children are entitled to 2 hours of PE per week, and in the Autumn term, they swim.  They should be prepared for these sessions with the appropriate clothing, hair tied back and jewellery such as ear rings removed for the day.
