Class Assemblies – There will be four class assemblies this term (all starting at 9:05):

  • Rowan Class on Wednesday 21st May
  • Beech Class on Wednesday 11th June
  • Ash Class on Wednesday 18th June
  • Hornbeam Class on Wednesday 25th June

Beginning and End of the School Day – From the start of this week you may have been aware that we have been opening the gates at 8:40 in morning. There will be supervision on the playground from this time. At the end of the day, the side gate will open at 3:10pm. These times will also be applicable to the new Cabin side gate.

Bright Sparks Science Club – This has now started on a Wednesday afternoon in Spruce Chalet from 3.20pm – 4.20pm. There are still spaces available for the Science Club. Please contact Mrs Mason in the office for details.

Tag Rugby Tournament – On Wednesday Mrs Bodeker took a group of Year 5 & 6 children to a tag rugby competition at the Wallingford Rugby Club. Eight schools took part, all thankful for good weather conditions! The team played valiantly, despite not having played together before. They fought against some strong competition but didn’t win any matches, however the scores were very close in many matches and the team should be very proud of their performance.

Sainsburys Active Kids Vouchers – we are still collecting these vouchers which will be available from Sainsbury’s until 20th May. The last date for school orders is in July so please bring in your vouchers by the end of June so that we can count them and place an order for free resources in good time.

Term Dates – all the INSET days have now been finalised. Please find the updated term dates with this Newsletter.

May Day Holiday – A reminder that school will be closed on Monday 5th May for the Bank Holiday.
