Christmas Productions – A reminder that the Infants (Oak, Hornbeam and Beech classes) Christmas Production will take place next Wednesday 11th December at 2pm.  Please note that tickets are not required for this performance but that parents will not be allowed in until the doors open at 1.30pm.  Please do not arrive too early.

There will be a dress rehearsal on Monday 9th December at 2pm for this Production but parents will not be allowed in until 1.45pm.  Parents are welcome to attend this if they are unable to attend the actual production and we would also ask if you have pre-school children that you bring them to this dress rehearsal rather than the performance on

11th December.  On both occasions the children will be available to collect from their classrooms after they have changed.  Please use the side gate as normal.  A collection will be made at the end of each of these performances which will go towards the development of our wildlife area.

Siblings Nativities – I am sorry to say that we will not be able to authorise absence for children to attend other Christmas Productions where their brothers or sisters are performing.  Regulations passed by the Government in 2013 abolished the right of Headteachers to authorise up to 10 days of absence a year. Under current legislation, schools are now only allowed to authorise leave of absence for any reason if satisfied that exceptional circumstances exist. Therefore any absence except for sickness or exceptional circumstances will be classed as ‘Unauthorised Absence’.

School Admissions – If any parents have pre-school children born between 1st September 2009 and 31st August 2010, who will be due to start school in September 2014, application for a school place must be made by
15th January.  Applications can be made online  at www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/admissions but if you are not able to do this, please ask in the school office for a booklet which includes a form to complete and send to Oxfordshire Admissions Department.

Weeding and Wading in the Wildlife Area – We are still looking for volunteers to help with clearing and re-building the wildlife area tomorrow 7th and 14th December.  If you are able to volunteer for an hour or two between 10am and 4pm please email: helena.adams07@gmail.com

Cross Country Event – The next primary school cross country event will take place at Chiltern Edge School this  Saturday 7th December starting from 10am (depending on year group)  Further details from Kevin Nutt on 01189 721500 or email knutt@chilternedge.oxon.sch.uk

Christingle Service – St. Leonard’s Church will be holding their Christingle Service on Sunday 15thDecember starting at 4pm.  This candlelit service is for all the family and every child will receive their very own Christingle.

End of Term – This term will end on Friday 20th December at the earlier time of 1pm.  The new Spring Term will begin on Tuesday 7th January.
