Newsletter: 4 September 2015

Welcome back – we hope you have all had a wonderful summer holiday and are now refreshed for a new academic year at school. Welcome to the new children in Foundation Stage. We also welcome some new children into other year groups : Nia Felwick, Philippa Holman, Matilda Kettell, Archie Norton, Hannah Foston and her brother Liam Foston.

Goodbye – we say goodbye and thank you to Mrs Alison Ploszynski who, at the end of last term, was offered a fulltime position at The Learning & Communications Team in Abingdon where she has been working part-time over the last 12 months. We would like to thank Mrs Ploszynski for all her hard work over the last 13 years at Woodcote Primary School and wish her the very best of luck for the future. We will be arranging a leaving assembly for her, to give the children and the staff an opportunity to say ‘goodbye’.

Harvest Festival – the children will be celebrating harvest festival at the church on Monday 14th September. The Key Stage 1 children will attend from 10am and the Key Stage 2 from 11am. Parents are welcome to come along and join the celebrations. If anyone has any empty shoe boxes please bring them to the office. They will be decorated and used to deliver the harvest donations around the village.

Photographs – Tempest will be coming into school on Tuesday 22nd September during the morning. Please ensure children have the correct uniform for their photographs (white polo shirt, school sweatshirt or cardigan, plain hair bands).
