Harvest Festival_Hornbeam and Beech - 15th Oct 2014

Hornbeam and Beech class had a wonderful time celebrating the Harvest Festival this morning.  The children brought in food from home, which they carried to the local church for a display (it was later distributed to members of the community).  When we arrived at the church the children recited some poems (Year 2 performed a poem they wrote together as class), showed some beautiful autumn art and sang their favourite Harvest song before ending the morning with a prayer.  They were really well behaved and used loud speaking voices in the church.  Great work Year 1 and 2 and thank you to all the adults who helped us out today.  Here are some photos of our Harvest celebrations….
