EYFS - Oak
The Oak Class Team: Mrs Proctor, Mrs Heath, Mrs Peates and Mr Thomas
A huge Woodcote welcome to our new Oakies!
We are really excited to be working with you this year. We understand that every child is unique and the curriculum we plan continually evolves to ensure that all children can grow and flourish. High-quality interactions with and observations by staff, along with strong, positive relationships between home and school ensure the provision meets each child's needs and interests in order to engage them in their learning.
The website will provide key information and photos once all the consent form preferences have been recorded. Please also read the weekly newsletter as this will give you useful updates as to what the Oakies have been busy doing at school and important reminders. If you ever have any questions or feedback, our doors are open to you.
Here you will find class information and other resources to help support your child. We are always happy to loan things from the classroom that you may not have at home, such as child scissors or a set of numicon shapes. You only need to ask!
House Keeping
Water Bottles: Please ensure your child has a named water bottle in school every day.
Book Bags: Please ensure your child brings their book bag containing their reading book and reading record every Monday. We change books once a week, on the day we take them in.
PE Days: PE will be on a Thursday or Friday. Please keep their kit in school daily in case the day changes or the children need a change of clothes. This can be brought in at the beginning of each short term and taken home to wash in the holidays.
Snacks - please remember that we do have free fruit / vegetables and milk for snack times in Oak Class. If children do bring their own snacks, please remember that it should be a piece of fruit or vegetable.
Coats and Wellington Boots: Please ensure your child has a coat and a pair of wellington boots at school each day. Wellington boots can be left on the boot rack and even a puddle suit would be a good idea as we are outside exploring in all weathers!
